I can smell the fishy smell from an arm’s length away. The fishy aftertaste can only be got rid off by drinking lots of water or eating something else. If you’re looking for non-fish source DHA, I would suggest that you look at other brands.

This capsule contains Grapeseed Oil which is not safe for consumption by pregnant women. I work with a Naturopathic doctor. She thought this looked good, but when I read her the inactive ingredients, she told me not to take it and to write to the company to let them know that Grapeseed Oil is not safe during pregnancy!
I did write to the company two days ago and have not yet heard back. Talk to your doctor before taking this or any other supplements. I wasted my money on a bottle of this because I’m not risking the Grapeseed oil.

I was led to order these algae-derived DHA capsules because of concerns over toxins in fish oils. After smelling these, I can only say. . . “gimme back my fishy oils. . . “. These are absolutely the worst smelling supplements that I have ever seen. Whether these are safer is still up for debate, but they are certainly offensive to the senses.

I have used Deva Vegan DHA for about two years. It’s very expensive through my local health food store, but I love the product. When I saw that Amazon had a great deal, I signed up. I have received three shipments and I canceled this morning.
When I get the capsules from my health food store, they are nice and soft and liquidy. When they arrive from Amazon they are hard and whitish and it appears that the liquid inside has dried up.
Yuck.
I highly recommend this product . . . just don’t buy it from Amazon.

I’ve bought three bottles Deva Vegan DHA through Amazon, and I’ve been satisfied with the product. The capsules go down easily and I’ve never had an after taste after swallowing them. The packaging has been good, as I’ve never run across a bad capsule in the three bottles. The quality seems as good as when I purchase locally, but at a lower price.
