Just How Important Is Clean Pure Water?

Some people are unaware of the importance of clean drinking water for the body. The human organism is mainly composed of water. Since the body is over 70% water, the quality of both our health and wellbeing is largely dependant on the quality of the water that makes up the body.

The actual break down of the body in terms of constituent’s stands at 72% plain water, 20% being hard bone and solid tissue, with the remaining 8% being a combination of chemical compounds. Looking at this from purely a biochemical standpoint, it stands to reason that the quality of fluids within the body can have a profound impact upon our overall state of wellbeing. Every life giving action that takes place within the body happens within this body of water.

Many medically based discoveries have occurred during the last decade that has brought the capacity of the human body’s ability to heal itself to our awareness. It seems the body can overcome nearly any pathology if given the chance. The body instinctively knows how to heal itself, and water seems to be the key.

Each cell in the body is controlled by complex electrical signals that are sent from the nervous system that stems from the brain. Basically, the nervous system is a very complex system of tiny “waterways”. For example, if the body becomes dehydrated, the fluid in the nerves will congeal, releasing a mixture of organic and synthetic contaminants that distort the vital signals in the body.

Studies have revealed that the distortion of these very sensitive communications that take place in the body are largely responsible for a variety of neurological diseases and degenerative pathologies like anxiety, attention deficit disorder, chronic fatigue, depression, an Alzheimer’s disease.

Medical studies have revealed that a small drop in body fluids, as little as 4%, can cause a loss of energy up to 30%. People that occasionally suffer from decreased energy levels could be experiencing this as a result of dehydration. If the body fluids drop by 15%, death is a possibility.

Statistics show that over 65% of the population is not consuming enough fluids, with many experiencing some degree of dehydration. This means that a large portion of the people is operating at about 70% of their capacity, and is some cases even less.

Conditions such as hypertension, ulcers, sickness, arthritis, fatigue and headaches can all be reduced, and in a majority of cases prevented entirely just by consuming an adequate amount of clean water.

It’s important to clarify that clean pure water is what we are saying that needs to be consumed, and not fluids such as colas tea, coffee, and the like. This distinction is of utmost importance, as many fluids will actually dehydrate the system – we need to hydrate!

Remember, every time we consume a meal, a certain amount of available fluid is required to shuttle the nutrients away from the bowel, and just as importantly, an adequate amount of fluid is needed to flush the toxin load from the body that builds up from metabolic wastes.

When the body is supplied decent water, the correct nutrients and minerals, our body can overcome virtually anything!

Right Products for an Acai Berry Diet

An acai berry diet can be confusing; there are a seemingly endless amount of acai products out there. While the acai diet simply features consumption of acai, it is important find the best type for your own diet. There are multiple types of acai berry diet products to look at and understand.

Berries Themselves

The most basic way to get the acai berry diet rolling is to actually eat acai berries. This is also the most difficult, however. Because of the build of the acai berry, it is best to get a concentrate; only 10% of the berry is actually worthwhile. Actually eating berries (which can be hard to find) is not reasonable for those attempting an acai berry diet.

Juices

Acai berry juices come in different forms; some are pure acai berry, while others only have some acai. If you are on an acai berry diet, you are going to want to find the purest acai berry juice possible. Finding acai berry diet information can help you to find the best juices available.

Watch for Pits

The pit of the acai berry has no value whatsoever, especially when considering the acai berry diet. If a particular product claims to include “the whole acai berry”, or actually claims to include the pit, stay away. This is wasting your time and money.

Powders

There are different powders on the market that have taken acai berries and put them into a powder. This powder is made for the acai berry diet, as it is easy to add to foods or drinks to get the benefits of acai.

Pills

Pills have also started popping up as a way to get acai for an acai berry diet. But buyer beware; some pills have been found to have false claims for acai content. Read up on acai berry diet reviews to know which pills are best.

Most people nowadays are looking for easy ways to lose weight fast. We long to have lean, toned and attractive physique and yet we are not willing to work for it.

The demand for such weight loss solutions is far too big that it won’t make economic sense to fully exploit it. Is it a wonder then why many companies get into the business of selling quick fixes, magic potions and pills, and miracle cures?

Do these sound familiar:

“Simply peel and stick to burn fat and lose weight!” (ad selling diet patches)

“Lose weight in just 4 minutes a day!” (ad selling a “revolutionary” – and way overpriced – exercise machine)

“Forget about long, difficult exercises! We have a range of treatments and surgeries to make you lose weight…”

“Take this pill, go to bed… wake up skinny! It’s magic!”

If you really think about it – can you honestly believe their promises are true?

Out of desperation, many people actually buy into these fantasies of a quick, easy, and miraculous physical transformation.

Sure they are just doing their jobs – but don’t you think you deserve to make a well-informed and educated purchasing decision?

Don’t get scammed again. Behind all the sales hype are truths being kept away from you. Here are just some of them:

1. “Weight loss” is not necessarily beneficial.

Most (if not all) body wraps, slimming teas, and toning creams work mainly by eliminating water from your body.

If that’s not setting off any alarm bells for you, here’s the thing: your body is 75% water! Naturally you can easily lose weight if you dehydrate yourself. The question is: will losing water make you less fat?

But you gotta hand it to them – dehydration IS an easy way to lose weight fast! Clever, indeed.

Losing weight by dehydrating yourself is obviously ineffective, and the weight loss effect hardly lasts. Buying these miracle cures is just like patching up a hole on your shirt – it may patch up the hole, but it doesn’t make you look good nor solve the problem.

2. When You Starve Yourself, You Lose Muscle Mass and Keep the fat!

Suppressing your appetite is how some quick fix solutions work. Suppressing your appetite means you’ll be on a low calorie diet, but this method is flawed because ultimately an extremely low-calorie diet makes your body hoard fat.

When you starve yourself, you may lose weight at the start due to the big calorie deficit, but eventually your body thinks it’s starving to death so it switches to survival mode. When this happens, it burns off your muscles for fuel, conserves energy by decreasing your metabolism and – horror of horrors – keeps your body fat.

Is that what you really want?

3. The effects are not permanent.

Another problem with all these quick fix solutions is that you have to keep spending money on these products. After all, that’s what they’re designed to do: give you fast, easy solutions to symptoms but never the actual problem so that vendors get repeat customers.

Doesn’t sound too good now, does it?

Conclusion

The problem with weight loss is that losing weight could mean just losing water or muscle. So instead of having weight loss as your goal, aim for fat loss instead.

When it comes to fat loss, there are only 3 things that work effectively, inexpensively and healthily: proper nutrition, regular exercise, and a positive attitude or mindset.

Using natural methods, you may need to pay a higher price with your sweat and resilience to see results, but the benefits are worth it.

Don’t be fooled and believe that there are magic potions/creams/pills out there that can magically transform your body without much effort on your part. If there are such magical solutions, we would all be consuming them!

Recommendation

Many people fail to lose fat effectively because they don’t know what to do or how to do it. I say that the best way to to find out what works for you is by educating yourself using reliable sources and applying the principles you’ve learned.

The best resource I’ve found about fat-burning and muscle building is Tom Venuto’s Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle program.

Burn the Fat showed me something i never thought possible: for me to change permanently and find the way to go after the goals I really aspire to achieve; to work out religiously, but to genuinely enjoy it; To have a strict diet, but to realize that the endless benefits I reap (self-confidence, satisfying sex life, higher energy and productivity, etc) far outweigh the price I have to pay to have my most amazing body.

ACL Reconstruction: An Overview

The ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) stabilizes the knee. It is easily torn because of its location and the extent of activity and stress the knee joint is subjected to on a regular basis. The choice to treat ACL damage with surgery is an individual choice.

Surgery is chosen with such factors as the patients level of activity, age, and the stability of the knee in mind. Additionally, it is necessary to know if other knee structures have experienced damage. Surgery will normally be recommended when it will let the patient return to the previous level of activity.

ACL reconstruction will stabilize the knee. This prevents further damage to the articular cartilage and the menisci (cartilage cushions). Surgery helps in preventing premature deterioration of the knee.

Without exception, ACL reconstruction is performed arthroscopically. I personally prefer to use an autograft-tissue graft. Autograft is a graft harvested from the patient. An allograft, which is harvested from a cadaver is another possibility.

However, I think allografts are subject to problems. Recent research has indicated that patients under age 25 who receive an allograft followed by an aggressive rehabilitation program are 10-25% more likely to have problems.

I prefer to use a Patellar Tendon Autograft and an interference screw fixation when I have a patient under thirty years old who does not have any underlying patellofemoral disease. In addition, I prefer Hamstring Autograft (semitendinosis and gracilis combined) using rigid extra-articular fixation (Rapid Loc or Toggle Loc) on the femur and a Washer Loc on the tibia.

In a patient under age 25, I will only use an allograft if the patient promises not to engage in aggressive, competitive sports for at least a year after surgery. A full year will give the allograft time to heal. I am also willing to use allografts if I have more than one ligament to reconstruct.

The knee is stabilized and stress is kept at a minimum across the knee joint by the ACL.

Excessive forward movement of the tibia (lower bone of the leg) in relation to the femur (thigh bone) is also prevented by the ACL.

Additionally, it prevents excessive rotational movement of the knee.

How Much Protein Should We Be Eating

Thanks to rise of whey protein, extra protein consumption has become very popular. Bodybuilders have been taking extra protein for a long time now but it was never really this easy and painless to get so much protein into your system at will. But that begs the question, what quantity of protein should we eat each day? The answer depends on your body mass and diet but it can still be calculated easily.

A lot of excess protein can also ruin your appetite and disrupt your digestive system. Extra protein doesnt have any real side effects but you can cause some damage to your kidneys when you do so in order to avoid this happening, drink a lot of excess water which should help them deal with the extra protein in your system.

How much protein should I eat if I work out regularly?

In order to find out how much protein you need, just calculate it based on your recommended calorie intake for the day. The story is different if you workout at least three times a week and are trying to build muscle mass. In that case just simply consume 1g of protein for 1lb of your body mass. So a person who is 135lb should consume about 135g of protein each day.

How much protein should I eat if I am on a diet?

As mentioned before, just stick to the 35% mark of your daily intake. If you are on a 1500 calorie diet for example, then you need to have roughly 550 calories from protein. For person on a 1500 calorie diet, that is simply just over a hundred grams of protein.

Healthy Weight Loss Without Starvation

There are many of us that have tried to lose weight in a number of ways and with the trendy nature of the health industry it is not an exaggeration to say that there are probably millions of ways to lose weight. But healthy weight loss can be hard to get right and this is especially true if you consider the things that some of these diets and exercise routines demand of a person.

The industry seems to espouse the philosophy that the shorter the time it takes to achieve the best results, the better the program, but this is perhaps not the best thought process. If one thinks about the fact that it takes a certain amount of time to put on the weight, then surely the logical response would be to understand that it will at least take about the same amount of time to lose the weight as well.

Losing weight can be difficult to achieve and it does take time. In most cases weight loss takes longer than a person would like, but there is a good reason to be patient with the process. Most crash diets have shown that even though the results are extreme and that they happen within a matter of weeks, there is a very big challenge when one stops a diet such as this. The main challenge here is to now actually keep off the weight that the body has lost.

If the human body goes through a period of starvation, it is trained into thinking that food is always going to be scarce and that in a way it almost has to treasure every morsel that is given to it. So instead of processing the food in the manner in which it normally would, the body turns most of the nutrients into fat as it tries to store food. This is done as a result of the body thinking that this is the only food that it is going to get and as a way of preventing future starvation.

You have to respect your body and be gentle with it. It is no good getting up one morning and wanting to lose all the weight within just a week. It is an excellent thought to wake up with the desire to be healthy, but one has to take a measured approach to weight loss.

The first element is most obvious and would refer to one’s diet. Now there is no need to give up everything and only chew on limp celery sticks. The most important philosophy is “everything in moderation.” Eat when you are hungry and don’t over eat. It is best to have six small meals a day as this stimulates your metabolism which means that your food gets processed faster and your body does not store as much fat.

Another way to boost your metabolism is through exercise and again this should not be a sudden extreme addition to your lifestyle. You should start with something just out of your comfort zone, to get your heart pumping and your blood flowing. Thirty minutes of brisk exercise at least three times a week will already make a massive difference.

Just be patient and you will soon have the healthy weight loss you want.
