how to lower cholesterol
angela asked:

I’m 14 and I’ve been told that I have cholesterol levels of 30 pts. higher than normal by my doctor. I was wondering what cholesterol was exactly, how it affects me, and what it can lead to.
Also, could anyone tell me how or what to do in order to lower it back to normal levels. Thank you all so much.
Also I don’t think I’m even over weight because I am 5′1” and weigh 107 lbs.

flax oil
this2shallpass asked:

I was told that when the ALA’s in flax oil convert, you lose about 80% of the benefits; thus, missing out on the possible absorbtion of DHA & EPA. I was also told that it is beneficial to take flax because of something in it that you can’t get from fish oil. Any help in this area is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Is it safe to consume expired flax oil?

flax oil
MINTY asked:

I have a bottle of flax oil in the fridge that expires on April 1st. I take 2 tablespoons daily for omega-3 fatty acids and there is no way I will finish the entire bottle by the expiration date. Is there a grace period where it’s still safe to consume expired flax oil, or should I just throw it out and buy a fresh bottle?
